Two-tone Datejusts usually make a point of their gold. The 126334 hides it. The case and bracelet are Oystersteel, and the one precious part, the fluted bezel, is 18 ct white gold1,4. Rolex calls the combination White Rolesor1,28.
It is the 41 mm Datejust in that metal, made since 2017 on an Oyster or a Jubilee bracelet1,7,8. What follows is where it came from, what changed, what it costs and how to tell a real one from the rest.
From 36 mm to 41 mm
The Datejust arrived in 1945. By Rolex's own account it was the first self-winding chronometer wristwatch to show the date in a window on the dial29,30. The Jubilee bracelet was made for its launch1,31, and the Cyclops lens over the date followed in 195311,32. For most of its life the men's Datejust measured 36 mm2,33.
In 2009 Rolex added the Datejust II: a 41 mm case with calibre 313610,23. Rolex's own page for the 116334 showed it on an Oyster bracelet in January 2017; whether any Datejust II came on a Jubilee is disputed (see «Where the sources disagree»)10,11,34. The steel-and-white-gold version was ref. 116334, presented at Baselworld that year alongside the steel 116300 and the yellow Rolesor 11633310,11. It had a broader bezel and thicker lugs than the Datejust 41 that replaced it10,24.
In 2016 the Datejust 41 arrived, at first only in yellow and Everose Rolesor3,5,8. The steel 126300 and the White Rolesor 126334 followed at Baselworld in 20173,5,8,9. Rolex's own website still showed the 116334 in January 2017, and showed the 126334 as a new Datejust 41 by April6,34.
What changed from the Datejust II
Same diameter, different proportions. The Datejust 41 has slimmer, more tapered lugs, a thinner bezel, slimmer hour markers and a larger dial opening3,9,30. Fratello's reviewer, for one, never thought the Datejust II was a real successor to the 36 mm, and thought the Datejust 41 was9.
Inside, calibre 3235 replaced the 31363,14. Rolex rates the 3235 at about 70 hours of power reserve; the 3136 had about 481,10,14. In practice: take it off on Friday evening and it is still running on Monday morning. The 3235 runs at 28,800 vibrations an hour with Rolex's Chronergy escapement, a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers1,5. Not all of that is new: the 3136 already had a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers14,34. The 3235 itself first appeared in the Pearlmaster 39 in 201524,35.
On precision, Rolex's own site gave the same figure for both generations in 2017: −2/+2 seconds a day after casing, as a Superlative Chronometer6,34.
The change you can see from outside is the choice of bracelet. The 126334 comes on an Oyster or a Jubilee1,7,8. The 116334 is documented on an Oyster; whether any Datejust II came on a Jubilee is disputed10,11,34. Both of today's bracelets close with an Oysterclasp and the 5 mm Easylink extension, as the 116334's Oyster already did1,7,34.
Rolex's name for the steel has changed too. In 2017 it said 904L; today it says Oystersteel1,6.
Dials, bracelets and the 200-dollar question
Rolex makes the 126334 with a long list of dials, plain and diamond-set, each on an Oyster or a Jubilee1,8,22. Among those on Rolex's US site on 11 October 2026 were silver, white and slate on an Oyster, bright black on a Jubilee, and bright blue set with diamonds on a Jubilee1,7,21,22,36. The slate dial with green Roman numerals is the one collectors call the Wimbledon24,37. WatchGuys counts 17 or more factory dial configurations; we have not counted them ourselves2.
The bracelet sets the price. In the US a plain dial cost USD 11,650 on an Oyster and USD 11,850 on a Jubilee, and the slate dial on an Oyster cost the same as the silver and the white1,7,21,36. The diamond-set blue on a Jubilee was USD 13,95022. In the UK the Jubilee costs GBP 150 more (9,900 against 9,750), and in Germany EUR 200 more (11,450 against 11,250)12,13,38,39.
On the wrist it is 41 mm across, and Rolex's page data gives both bracelets a width of 21 mm1,7. It is waterproof to 100 metres1,5. If 41 mm sounds large, the same White Rolesor recipe exists in 36 mm as the 1262342,37. Which one suits you is a question of wrist, not of status.
What it costs
On 11 October 2026 Rolex's recommended price for the 126334 on a Jubilee with a plain dial was USD 11,850 in the US, GBP 9,900 in the UK and EUR 11,450 in Germany1,12,13. Ten to fourteen months earlier it was USD 11,100 (19 November 2025), GBP 9,450 (13 October 2025) and EUR 11,050 (18 August 2025)15,16,17. That is a rise of 6.8, 4.8 and 3.6 per cent over those different spans. The 2025 sterling price comes from rolex.com's international English site, and the euro price from Rolex's German-language site, which did not name a country.
On an Oyster the US picture is the same: the silver-dial 126334 went from USD 10,900 in November 2025 to USD 11,650 in October 2026, 6.9 per cent21,40.
At launch in 2017 the blue-dial 126334 on an Oyster cost USD 8,9008, and Fratello gave EUR 8,5009. Against today's Oyster prices of USD 11,650 and EUR 11,25021,39, that is about 31 per cent in dollars and 32 per cent in euros over nine and a half years. Fratello did not say which country its euro price was for.
Buying one second-hand
Second-hand, we can only measure asking prices, and our two windows point different ways. The median asking price on the first page of Chrono24 listings was USD 13,995 in March 2025, USD 16,024.50 in October 2025, USD 16,210 in February 2026 and USD 15,597.50 in September 202618,19,20,41. Measured from March 2025 that is a rise of about 11.5 per cent. Measured from 15 October 2025 to 6 September 2026 it is a fall of about 2.7 per cent, while Rolex's US list price on the Jubilee rose 6.8 per cent from 19 November 2025 to 11 October 20261,15,19,20. The two windows point different ways, so we give both rather than pick one. Asking prices are not sale prices, and that first page mixes new and used watches and diamond dials.
For actual sales, Bob's Watches says its own pre-owned sales of the 126334 from July 2025 to July 2026 had a median of about USD 15,400, excluding aftermarket diamonds, and that median sold prices across the whole Datejust 41 family rose roughly 7 to 8 per cent from the second half of 2025 to the first half of 202624. That is one dealer's data, the rise is for the family rather than this reference, and the 126334 median sits above Rolex's list price.
Rolex's position is simple: buy from a jeweller in Rolex's own retail network, which Rolex says guarantees authenticity42. Away from the retailer, the checks above are the minimum. Read the reference between the lugs, watch the date jump at midnight, find the crown in the crystal and match the bracelet to the reference.
Nobody can tell you how rare a 126334 is. Rolex publishes no production figures, for the company or for any model. The only numbers are analyst estimates: Morgan Stanley and LuxeConsult estimate that Rolex sold about 1.15 million watches in 202527, and Monochrome notes that the figures were not provided by the brands26. That estimate covers every model, and none of it is broken down by reference.
The dubious part
The white-gold Datejust is for the man who wants gold but would rather nobody noticed. It works perfectly. Nobody notices, so he has to mention it.
