The paintings

Every illustration on The Gentleman's Reference is our own: watercolours on the reference pages, oils on the front page and in the column. Some were painted after a photograph on Wikimedia Commons whose licence allows it. The paintings are adaptations, not copies: the watch is repainted as the reference on the page, on a plain background, and logos and lettering are left out.
